Tiefenbach is a neighboring village to Oberstdorf and its healing effects already have reached historic traditions (Tiefenbach means deep stream.) From the middle ages on, people would come here to ail and heal their health problems in the sulfur springs. Even though today, these springs are not used anymore, Tiefenbach is a "Luftkurort" famous for its clean and crisp air - just like its neighboring Oberstdorf.


There are many things to do in Tiefenbach. You can hike in pretty much every direction and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views, breathe the fresh air, admire a beautiful chapel or look down the Breitbachklamm river. Rohrmoos, which is close by, charms with its 16th century chapel.


Enjoy this beautiful village in summer and winter. Tiefenbach offers two smaller ski lifts for beginners and advanced skiers. The fresh, clean and healthy air can be enjoyed year round!
