Waldgirmes is a charming little village located in central Hesse (Mittelhessen) in the middle of Germany, which is centrally located in Europe. It is part of the Lahnau community, located right between the two neighboring towns Wetzlar and Giessen (approximately 4 miles distance to each.)

The name “Lahnau” is derived from the nearby Lahn River, one of Germany’s most romantic rivers. Proud castles, impressive churches, monasteries and cathedrals testify for the culture of the Lahn River valley. Lovely old towns with quaint half-timbered houses tell a story of the hustle and bustle of former times.

With less than 50 miles distance from Frankfurt and its overall good integration into the German highway (Autobahn) system, Waldgirmes is easily accessible from Frankfurt Rhein-Main International Airport, just a 45-minute drive away.
