Stay in lovingly furnished vacation home Mecklenburg, either in guest rooms (~25 sq.m.) or apartment (~65 sq.m.). The apartment accommodates up to four, the rooms are for two. Our guest rooms combine form and function to let you have a good time on the Baltic Sea coast, on trips and in Haus Mecklenburg itself.

The rooms in Haus Mecklenburg are furnished in friendly ways and offer a double bed, bathroom with shower/toilet, radio, TV, and cooking area. The house itself is quietly located on the outskirts of Rostock, with a bus stop directly in front. From here, you can start to explore Rostock and Warnemünde. Parking is available on-side; stores can be reached walking for a few minutes.

Our second vacation home, an entire vacation house, is furnished in bright and friendly ways. Its 100 sq.m. and modern furnishings are ideal for the vacationer, as is the quiet but central location. The house has two levels, connected by a staircase; on the ground floor are the bathroom and the toilet; on the second, living room, kitchen with balcony and bedroom.

Vacation apartment 1 is on the upper floor. It is in rustic, highly comfortable, style, with a spacious living/bed room, a separate kitchen and a bathroom.

Vacation apartment 3 offers two bedrooms and light and friendly furnishings. Particular attention was given to comfortable and complete furnishings, ensuring a nice and relaxing vacation.

Rental prices include free use of the spa landscape and sauna. The spa is only a few steps from the apartment, easily reached by car.

For nice weather, facilities for sunbathing and barbecuing are provided.

Our three guest rooms offer a pleasant atmosphere for vacations that are just as lazy and relaxing or active, out in the nature of the Harz, to keep body and mind fit. Thanks to the central location, most shops and supermarkets, the train station, sights, the Bodetal, the cable car to the Hexentanzplatz or to the Rosstrappe, can be reached within a few minutes of walking. Thale is an ideal starting point for hiking, family, short-term or culture vacations in the Harz.

Location:

On bike, it is less than 10 minutes to the beach; by car, about three minutes. Fewer than five minutes on foot get you to facilities such as the bakery, barber’s, supermarkets, pharmacy, and drug store of Elmenhorst.

Close by the apartment, you can find a number of restaurants with a diverse offer of regional specialties and various fish dishes.

Baltic Sea resort Warnemünde (Warnemünde vacation rentals | Warnemünde travel guide) is only 2.7 km away. There, you have a sand beach that consists of more than 100 m wide, fine sand, is the landmark of Warnemünde and easily one of the nicest beaches in Germany. The center of the adjacent city district is five minutes by car; there, you can find movie theaters, doctor’s offices and pharmacies, shopping, as well as bus and tram stops. By car, it takes 15 minutes to get to the city center, where a large selection of shops, cafés and restaurants is to be found.

Through the Warnowtunnel, you can get on the Fischland- Darß-Zingst peninsula with its unique coastal landscape (in 30 minutes) and you can reach the island of Rügen (Rügen vacation rentals | Rügen travel guide) within an hour.

Driving towards the West, you get to the “white city by the sea,” Heiligendamm (Heiligendamm vacation rentals | Heiligendamm travel guide). Thirty minutes of driving get you to Baltic Sea resort Kühlungsborn (Kühlungsborn vacation rentals | Kühlungsborn travel guide), one of the largest with a 4 km long beach promenade.

You need not always drive, you can start your exploration of the area on the extensive and well-maintained network of bike paths.

The surroundings of Thale – and the town itself – offer many interesting destinations for lovers of nature and culture. The Hexentanzplatz (witches’ dancing square) is certainly the highlight of Thale. Opposite of that is the Rosstrappe, where, according to local legend, the evil Bodo chased a maiden who had rejected him. On her flight, she jumped over the river on her horse, but Bodo himself fell and drowned in the river which was named after him…

On location, you can explore these and many other legends. In summer, the Hexentanzplatz is the setting of the unique Bergtheater (mountain theater).

The animal park presents the local flora and fauna; of particular interest are the new bear’s enclosure and the wolf enclosure, which one can walk right into (well, on a bridge above the wolves, of course). Hexentanzplatz or Rosstrappe can be accessed by cable car, stations of which are a few minutes from our apartments, or on hiking trails.
