Go on vacation in the Vogtland!

Our comfortable vacation apartment is idyllically located in a quiet valley in the nature park “Oberes Vogtland,” on the forest edge, part of Sohl. Sohl itself is a part of the Saxon state spa Bad Elster (Bad Elster vacation rentals | Bad Elster travel guide).

The richly forested Elstergebirge is ideal for spa sojourns, hiking, collecting mushrooms, and doing winter sports. The soft ascents are well-suited also for less experienced hikers.

Location:

We are conveniently located, easy to reach on both A72 or A93. From here, you can go on excursion into the Erzgebirge, the Fichtelgebirge or into the Czech Republic.

Travelers without car will, on request, be picked up from the stations of the Vogtlandbahn train in Adorf (Adorf vacation rentals | Adorf travel guide) or Sohl.

Use the diverse medicinal and cultural opportunities offered by the state spas Bad Elster and Bad Brambach! There is something good to do here, no matter the weather.

Via the B92 or with the Vogtlandbahn train, you can quickly reach the spa towns in the Czech Republic (Franzensbad, Marienbad and Karlsbad), as well.

Additionally, there are worthwhile destinations for experiencing great free time-activities in our area, in every season, in the Musikwinkel around Markneukirchen (Markneukirchen vacation rentals | Markneukirchen travel guide), as well as in the winter sports towns Klingenthal, Schöneck (Schöneck vacation rentals | Schöneck travel guide) and Erlbach.

Not only are the vacation apartments to be had for a good price, in our region (Vogtland and the neighboring Czech Republic), the prices for good restaurants also tend to be moderate. No better place to spend a nice and inexpensive vacation.

We recommend arrival/departure on weekends with less traffic.

Sohl and Surroundings

The small settlement Sohl, a part of Bad Elster, is spread out on a slope, between 500 and 600 m above sea level, in the landscape protection area “Oberes Vogtland,” surrounded by magnificent coniferous forests. Given its beautiful landscape, scenic valleys and quiet location, it will be no surprise that this beautiful range of middling mountains in the “Vogtländischer Bäderwinkel” is a popular area for hiking and spa treatments. The climate also does its part for your restoration, in every season. Hikers and nature lovers, too, will find what they were looking for, no matter the season.

In the winter months, you can easily reach the popular skiing slopes for beginners and experienced skiers around Erlbach (10 km away). Schöneck and Klingenthal can also be reached quickly and are skiing areas which will usually get snow.
