Welcome to the vacation apartments Edith! We cordially invite you to spend your next vacation in the magnificent Franconian lake district (Seenland). My guest house is an ideal starting point for tours to discover the beautiful region.

Both of the two non-smoker’s vacation apartments have a floor area of 60 m² and accommodate up to four people. They feature private entrance, spacious living room with a sofa bed large enough for two and a fully equipped kitchenette and dining corner large enough for the whole family. The sunlit bathroom offers toilet and shower stall.

For sleeping, there is another sofa bed for two and a double bed. The ground floor apartment’s large, sunny patios are equipped with outdoor furniture and barbecue.

A Special Apartment:

These apartments are perfect for anyone looking to be in rural surroundings but close by Nuremberg (reachable in 20 minutes). The location is also central; Munich is 160 km away, Würzburg 100 km, Rothenburg 40 km, Nuremberg 25 km. The apartment’s owner, who is city guide for Nuremberg, also offers tours through town, in English or German.

Surroundings:

The guest house is quiet and peacefully situated near the forest just outside Eichelburg, in the midst of the Franconian Lakes recreation area. The two available apartments are on the ground floor.

The house is also about 1 km away from the Rothsee lake. It is surrounded by an extensive (1200 m²) green plot of land, a wonderful area for play and relaxation.

Further afield, hikers and cyclist will enjoy the more than 500 km of trails.

Special Features:

The two units are ideal for families because of their child-friendly design and cribs, highchairs, toys, and even a table tennis-table are available.

The house is decorated in rustic style and inhabited by the vacationers alone. Each unit has a patio and car parking in the courtyard.

Surroundings:

Enjoy the Franconian lake district, which offers something for everyone: more than 500 km of bike and hiking trails, as well as a Nordic Walking park with night routes, for the active ones. Sailing and surfing on the child-friendly Rothsee lake; tennis courts and beach volleyball.

Summer toboggan runs and mini golf are popular; one can also go horseback riding, visit spas or undertake such more unusual activities as ballooning.

Friends of culture activities also find enough to do, not least in the historic towns Allersberg or Hilpoltstein, which stages a castle festival each first weekend in August. Roth is less old, but offers special hiking trails such as the mill path.

Excursions:

There are many popular destinations in the wider surroundings, e.g. Nuremberg with its many sights such as the castle, dungeons, and more, to which I can guide you myself. Not to forget about the many museums…

Many opportunities for shopping await you as well, and there are regular events such as the old town festival or the bard’s meeting.

The Nuremberg fair can be reached by car in 20 minutes (on the autobahn)!

A trip to the Playmobil FunPark in Zirndorf is a fun event for families with children!

Weissenburg contains Roman remains of renown, among them old spas and remains of the border fortification, the Limes.

Boat tours on the Brombachsee, e.g. on the MS Brombachsee, the largest three-hulled boat on a reservoir lake in Europe, are more relaxing activities.

• on the A9 Nuremberg-Munich, getting off at exit 55 Allersberg towards Roth, taking the first left after the roundabout, then taking a right towards Eichelburg in Heubühl,
