Centrally located, bright city apartment in a turn-of the century town house with view of the Steinlach creek. This is a great setting for holidays full of great experiences in the university town Tübingen (Tübingen vacation rentals | Tübingen travel guide). Only a few minutes walking to the inner city, train station or state theater, 15 minutes to the university.

Call or send an e-mail if you want to visit old friends or your children who are studying in Tübingen, come and visit one of the many markets or to participate in a course, do research or teach at the university and want to stay in Tübingen for a while, with or without your family…

For self-catering, there is a nice store for whole foods, a bakery and a supermarket right around the corner. A selection of restaurants, from Swabian to international cuisine, is also close by.

Beautiful apartment, great location and really friendly and helpful owners

We were delighted with the apartment. It is stylish and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped, and the whole place is really clean and inviting. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed.

The location is excellent, Tubingen is about 3 minutes walking.

The town is wonderful and well worth a visit. It is one of the oldest and best preserved towns I have ever seen. We were lucky enough to get a short tour from our lovely landlady Ludmila, which gave us some understanding of the history.

There are many excellent restaurants in Tubingen including Forelle - German food with a twist and if you like Italian - Anitca Posta.

We could not have been better looked after by our hosts, for whom nothing was too much bother. They are wonderful people, we are delighted to have met them.

We had a very good time in Germany and our hostess Ludmilla was wonderful. We had a bond when she realised we were from the Canadian Arctic and she showed us where she was born in far eastern Siberia. We enjoyed Tubingen and surrounding cities and of course we were able to indulge our passion for automobiles and visited all the major museums. Tubingen is ideally situated for visiting this area of Germany. We also took an overnight trip to Nurberg so I could have a race around the famed ring - this was incredible and we stayed in a hotel in sight of the track as well. Just as well as the adrenaline was still roaring along the next morning.

We all really enjoyed the scenery and found it very easy to get around. Parking our car at night could have been an issue as we used it everyday but Ludmilla let us use her garage and she parked her smaller car in her driveway. Thats 100% support. The aparment was very spacious and fully equipped which we appreciated as we like to cook and we came and went at all hours. We didn't use the living room that much but the kitchen and dining room were very busy.

The only small issue was about the second bedroom. When we arrived we realised that our friends who are bigger than us would have been uncomfortable in that room so we 'gave' them the main bedroom. Unfortunately we were also uncomfortable in particular as the mattresses were small and overly soft. I have a cranky back and after almost two weeks on that mattress I was in poor shape. I should say I am reasonably fit and not overweight. So the beds need to be replaced with a proper queen size bed and firmer mattress. That being said I fully understand the dilema of trying to provide a second room which might be needed for a couple or two separate individuals big or small! What to do for the best? We did not bring this up with Ludmilla as she is an exceptional person and so very obviously proud of her home, and we all liked her a lot.

Would we go back? Yes if we don't have to use those beds. Location in the City was superb, and only 5 minutes walk to the store for food. Great acccess to the road system etc and internet acess. If you have more specific questions I would be glad to answer them. All the best!

We had a wonderful experience staying at our apartment in Tübingen (Apartment 1906). The owner, Ludmila, was really lovely, and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable.

The apartment was extremely spacious and very well furnished. Unfortunately, we were visiting Tübingen on business, so we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the apartment. The apartment was also excellently located, on a quiet street, but in walking distance to train station and town centre. We would like to thank Ludmila for her wonderful hospitality and hope to visit another time soon.
