The House
Our prestigious and maintained country-style apartment house is located in a quiet and exclusive residential area of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and has 10 rooms in three different categories:
- Five ground floor with large covered patio and lawn
- Five on the first floor with a large covered balcony
- Our rooms are all equipped with a combined living room / bedroom, bathroom, toilet, kitchen, dining area, satellite TV, clock radio, terrace or balcony.
The Florian Parlor
- In the basement of our house is Florian parlor. Here you can stay up to 20 people together. There is also a small kitchen with Spülmschine, microwave, and oven. In the parlor
- fridge can provide the guests with chilled beverages.
Our guests are cared for every day of our Florianshof housekeeper Mrs. Sandra Steinhöfer. Mrs. Steinhöfer is also responsible for cleaning the house and the care of the entire system.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located at the foot of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain (2,962 m) and is one of the most important climatic health resorts in the Bavarian Alps and the winter sports capital of Germany. The city hosted the 1936 Olympics and the 1978 World Championship and offers pristine nature, secluded spots, cultural and culinary highlights, adventure, recreation, wellness and shopping in sophisticated stores.
- From the pension Florianshof you enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the Zugspitze, the Wettersteinmassiv the Loisach Valley and the mountains. All rooms have a view of Zugspitze and Wank and Kreuzeck.
- The Pension is located near the Olympic ski stadium (10 minutes walk away) (15 minutes walk), right on the hiking trails to Partnachklamm, to the mountain and Riessersee.
- It's an ideal starting point for the hiking, walking and mountain trails with views of the valley of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The venue of the BMW Motorrad Days is accessible from our guesthouse in a nice walk in about 15 minutes.

By car:
Garmisch-Partenkirchen from Dortmund (Dortmund vacation rentals | Dortmund travel guide) to reach the A 45 to Seligenstadt (Seligenstadt vacation rentals | Seligenstadt travel guide), A3 to Nuremberg (Nuremberg vacation rentals | Nuremberg travel guide), Munich (Munich vacation rentals | Munich travel guide), A9, A 95 to the end, then follow signs to the CAP. Since the highway to Munich clogged more often, it is wise also different route from the Ruhr Area:
A 45 until the end, then A3 to Biebelried, A7 to Füssen (Füssen vacation rentals | Füssen travel guide) / Reutte and from there, through Austria on the E532 (about 60km, toll-free on this piece) about Ehrwald direction Garmisch.
The track is made in the Ruhrbgebiet to cope in about 7 hours. Take regular rest and please drive carefully!
By train:

Hiking Tips:
We recommend purchasing a detailed walking map of the area, such as "Freytag Berndt hiking maps, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Wetterstein, Werdenfelser country," which is available for € 6.80, or Kurwegkarte Steiner system, which you get for under € 5 at the Tourist Information CAP.
- Don't overestimate your strength! Approach your limits slowly. Beginners are especially surprised at how exhausting a steep climb can be.
- Dress appropriately, not too thin nor too thick. A waterproof jacket should always be there! Has proven to be functional underwear, which carried away the sweat from the body. These benefits, however, only slightly when all the clothes are made of layers of underwear.
- Avoid bright colors because they're easy to recognize for all the mosquitoes and horseflies.
- Wear sensible walking shoes!
- Go hiking with several people if possible. If you go alone, notify someone of the area in which you are traveling and when you should return.
- Phones are not full insurance, and in the mountain areas there is often no reception. You still take your phone with a small lamp and a small whistle. In an emergency, put your cell phone reception on a radio direction-finding so you can track.
- Remember that the sun in the mountains can quickly cause a sunburn or sunstroke. Reapply therefore an exposed skin with sunscreen and put a hat on.
- Absolutely stay on the marked trails.
History:
The twin area of Garmisch-Partenkirchen has existed since 01.01.1935. Until then, Garmisch and Partenkirchen were separate markets, with an independent development. Both places look back at a long history.
