Location:
Quietly situated in Garmisch, with large covered balcony and panorama view of Zugspitze and Wetterstein mountains.
Coming on the autobahn Munich-Garmisch (A95), keep on the Bundesstrasse 2 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen after the end of the autobahn.
After the tunnel, turn right towards Grainau/Reute. Continue on this main road to Grainau, which later turns into Zugspitzstrasse. Past the two gas stops (OMV, ESSO), you will see a Sixt car rental on the right.
Leave Zugspitzstrasse behind that car rental and turn right onto Archstrasse, then take first left onto Brandstrasse – and you are at your destination.
Please plan for an arrival between 3 and 5 p.m., and to get straight to the vacation apartment. When you have reached it, call us and we’ll immediately welcome you, hand you your keys, and answer any questions you might have.

Skiing
Oberstdorf is a perfect place for skiing in Winter with access to many different ski areas to chose from. You can get a "Kurkarte" for 2 Euros per night. With this one you can use the Skibus (a shuttle) to the lifts for free. The shuttle stop is located about 3-4 minutes from the apartment. Please ask for exact location of the shuttle stop when you arrive and the owner will provide directions. Depending on which ski area you like you need about 5 to 15 minutes to get there.

Please plan for an arrival between 3 and 6 p.m., and to get straight to the vacation apartment. When you have reached it, call us and we’ll immediately welcome you, hand you your keys, and answer any questions you might have.

Regional Sights:
The region of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is great for walks and mountain hikes in any season; winter makes ice skating possible on many of the lakes. The Riessersee lake was the site where the ice skating and ice hockey competitions of the 1936 Olympic Games took part, for example.
