The traditional farmhouse offers rooms and apartments for 2–6 people. Nonsmoking. Child-friendly farm producing its own cheese. Awarded four stars in all categories by the German Tourism Association (DTV) in 2008!

Apartment Talblick is found on the third floor of the farmhouse. Talblick means "valley view" and once inside the apartment you'll see for yourself. Sitting on the balcony, you get to enjoy the magnificent panorama high above Jachental. The spacious kitchen is conveniently next to the bathroom. The comfortable bedroom also makes you feel right at home. An extra bedroom is available if needed.

Pricing and Other Information

The prices for the apartments are per day and doesn't include breakfast. Room prices per person include breakfast! For children and teenagers under 18, there is no local tax. For adults, an amount of € 0.70 per night is charged.

Because of changing VAT rates, the charges for accommodation and additional services such as breakfast, drinks, telephone, and so on appear separately on the invoices.

The peaceful farmhouse is away from traffic and enjoys a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains, only 1 km from the town of Jachenau. It constitutes an ideal starting point for hiking, bicycling, and cross-country skiing.

The house is centrally located between Munich and Innsbruck and also between Neuschwanstein and Chiemsee. Lake Walchen, the jewel of the Bavarian Alps, is 3 km away.

Farmhouse History

The early history of the Langerbauer Farmhouse is very much connected with the original settlement of Jachenau. Therefore, a quick look at the history of the Jachenau community will provide much insight into the natural characteristics of this mountain valley in the foothills of the Alps between Walchensee and Isartal.

The beginnings of Jachenau go far back in time. The 8th century saw the foundation of monasteries by the noble Huosi family: Schäftlarn, Tegernsee, and Benediktbeuern in the Bavarian Oberland. In the area, Benediktbeuern required 92 000 workdays from the people living between Loisach and Isar, in Tyrol, and in the Etschtal (Adige Valley).
