Hi Bettina,
My sister and I were just exchanging emails today wishing we were back in Bad Homburg! We liked this little town very much.

The apartment was pleasant-- spacious and very clean. The owners changed the bedding and towels after our first week which we really appreciated. The location of the apartment was ideal. The only drawbacks were that it was a bit dark in the bedroom and that we had to ration hot water use as it shared a small tank with the upstairs apartment. Sometimes we had hot water for a minute and then it ran out. Owners were nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this apartment to others. I can't remember what the website description said, but you would probably want to let Americans know that there was no oven. This was not a problem for us as we weren't planning on doing any cooking. One of my European friends told me later that the microwave probably had a convection oven feature in it, but if it did, we didn't notice!

We liked Bad Homburg as it was quiet and peaceful and not full of tourists. We could pretty much walk everywhere we wanted to see . Our one disappointment was that we were unable to rent bikes as the one shop in town that rented them out only had one bike that would fit us. We traveled around quite a bit to follow the soccer games and it was easy and convenient to get into Frankfurt to the main station.

I don't think we took any pictures of the apartment, but might have one of the street, which was quaint.
