Separate vacation apartment on upper floor (just one flight of stairs), with modern and comfortable furnishings in light colors; 55 sq.m. Ideal for two, though there is room for a third person. Entering via your own hallway, you get into the large living room with comfortable corner seating and a couch which can be pulled out to offer additional sleeping (of 120 x 190 cm size).

Rooms:

Living room with harmonically integrated kitchenette. The new rustic bedroom in cottage style offers a lot of space to snuggle, with a bed that is 190 x 200 cm big. The bed is all of 55 cm high, letting you get out with ease. The bathroom is tiled up to the ceiling, has a shower stall that is 90x90 cm big, and a wall-mounted toilet.

This insulated wooden garden house with heating is preferentially for the use of guests in vacation apartment Birne. Whether you use it to relax, e.g. with a good book, by yourself or to celebrate with us, friends, or other guests, is your decision. It has room for up to 8 people; drinks, coffee maker and tableware is at the ready.

You can enjoy Upper Palatinate gemütlichkeit in our quaint Stoawoldhütt’n, barbecuing in the garden, on Heimatabend and village festivals (e.g. the annual forest festival and forest Christmas) or in the pubs which are close by. The cuisine is authentic and affordable, and it is also possible to go over the border into the Czech Republic for Bohemian food at great prices.

We are happy to give you further advice on destinations for excursions, hikes, shopping, etc. Having you get to know our region and maybe, like so many others, get to like it and come back, would be our pleasure.

Rental price includes all running costs: electricity, water, heating, bed sheets and towels, tourist tax, telephone/internet, final cleaning. Fee for stays of fewer than 7 nights is EUR 20 (apartment Apfel) or EUR 15 (apartments Birne or Kirsche). One child up to 3 years old stays for free. Rebates for children to 10 years EUR 3.50, to 15 years EUR 4.50 per night. Rebate of EUR 2 per night for rentals of more than one apartment. Special rates for workers, school pupils and students. The Glas Road is a vacation road of 250 km length, located in East Bavaria. It connects Waldsassen and Passau (Passau vacation rentals | Passau travel guide) and has various routes leading through the Oberpfälzer Wald (Upper Palatinate Forest) and Bayerischer Wald (Bavarian Forest), by way of Neustadt/Waldnaab. This has been an area where glas makers work since centuries. The Porcelain Road are two tourist roads in North Bavaria and Thuringia focusing on the manufacture of porcelain.

Geo- Center at the Continental Drilling Windischeschenbach: Information about the largest land drilling of the world going to a depth of 9101 m. Since the Expo 2000: "Geo-Tours all about the granite," led by scientists, on location.

Take your vacation in the middle of green surroundings, in Bavaria’s smallest nature park, Steinwald (Stone Forest), where you can dive right into the enchanting landscape.

The wild-romantic nooks and crannies of our forests and valleys make it possible to breathe fresh air and relax without stress, away from mass tourism, in a landscape right out of a fairy tale, with fairy beings of granite.

Recharge in this interesting landscape, on hikes, walks and on the bike; let the well-signposted trails guide you, collect berries or mushrooms in fall, go cross-country skiing or alpine skiing on soft slopes (with ski lifts) in winter. The many ponds and lakes of the so-called Teichpfanne are a paradise for hobby-naturalists and fishermen; the clear natural forest lakes at Wiesau are popular bathing spots in summer. You can find great places for swimming also in the form of the modern open-air pools in the surroundings villages; the closest and best can even be reached on foot: the Fuchsmühler Waldbadeweiher where you can also find a café.
