Apartment Overview:

Your holiday home is approximately 65 square meters and has the following rooms:

The house has gas central heating including underfloor heating in the bathroom. Smoke detectors in all rooms, for your safety. Particularly suitable for seniors - no stairs, no doorjambs!

There is an information corner with many suggestions for things to do during your stay.

Bedroom

Your bedroom is equipped with a large double bed (1.80 x 2.00m) with adjustable bed bases, a 3-door wardrobe with mirror, luggage rack and clock radio. If required a cot can be set up.

Living Room

The living room has a TV with cable connection, hi-fi stereo, and a DVD player. There are also some German-language DVD's and some books for evening entertainment in the house. A computer with free Internet complements the facilities. There is also a phone with private number. Calls within Germany are free.

Kitchen

In the kitchen you can find the usual appliances such as stove, baking oven and grill, fridge with freezer compartment and coffee maker, as well as a toaster, a microwave oven with grill and also a cozy padded corner bench.

The kitchen is equipped with dishes for up to six people. Dish rags also available. The water is heated around the clock.

Bathroom

Of course, there is underfloor heating in the bathroom, bathtub, shower cabin, electric towel and clothes’ dryer, hair dryer, emergency pharmacy, bathroom scale and all the little things that make life comfortable.

Technical Equipment

The apartment has its own gas central heating including underfloor heating in the bathroom. Here, the water is also centrally heated.

A safe with a freely selectable number combination is also available.

In the storage room a powerful vacuum cleaner can be found alongside the usual cleaning implements, a cordless hand vacuum cleaner and an iron and ironing board.

A charcoal grill for barbecues on your patio is available, as well as garden chairs, table and umbrella. In bad weather, you can retire to the covered outside space next to the patio.

Enjoy the best weeks of the year in our quiet apartment on the outskirts of Selb (Selb vacation rentals | Selb travel guide), the world capital of porcelain. It is located amidst the beautiful Fichtelgebirge. Here you can visit sights every day, take extended hikes or go cycling on the many forest trails in the area, and relax from the stress of everyday life.

You can visit world-renowned ceramics companies such as Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther and Villeroy & Boch and their factory outlets.

There are more small towns well-worth a visit also in the Czech Republic, which is close by and offers further possibilities for one day-excursions with sightseeing and shopping.

Our house is located only a few meters from the forest edge, on a quiet South slope. In the morning, you can sit on the terrace which receives sunlight all day long and enjoy your breakfast, relax all day in the area and have a nice barbecue in the evening.

It’s easiest to get here on the autobahn:

From the West, A 70 and then A 9 in direction of Berlin (Berlin vacation rentals | Berlin travel guide)

From the South: A 9 (exit Gefrees) or A 9 and continuing on the A 93 (exit Selb West)

From the North: A 9, then A 72 and continuing on A 93 (exit Selb Nord)

From the East: A 72 in direction of Hof, continuing on A 93 (exit Selb Nord)

If you use a GPS system: the address is Ahornweg 33, 95100 Selb, (depending on system you will need to choose "Dürrloh" or "Vorwerk"!)

Reaching us by train:

It is possible but rather complicated to get here by train. If you choose to come this way, we will be happy to pick you up at the railway station for free!

Reaching us by plane:

It is also possible to come by plane; we will also gladly pick you up from the airport at Hof-Plauen (and see you off, too). For free, of course!
