The two-room-apartment on the fourth floor is newly built (2005) and furnished in modern and functional style.

The high quality sleeping couch in the living room can be used as a double bed with 140x200 cm and offers a real bed mattress for good sleeping comfort. Flat-screen TV with cable and DVD player.

Kitchen fully equipped, with stove, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwashing machine, washing machine with drying function, coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, pans, pots, cutlery, etc.

Bathroom equipped with bathtub with shower function, towel heating rack and hair dryer. All floors with tiles or parquet. Bedsheets and towels available, included in price. Time to get to inner city (Marienplatz) with public transport about 10 minutes. Next subway station only four minutes on foot. Quick connection via autobahn to GAP (50 minutes to the ski lift). Tierpark (animal park) Hellabrunn and Flaucher/Isar close by.

Location of Vacation Apartment Obersendling in Munich (Munich vacation rentals | Munich travel guide):

The apartment is located in the Obersendling/Thalkirchen district in the south of Munich. The closest subway station is just four minutes of walking away. In our opinion, subway line 3 is the most attractive subway line of Munich: without the need to change, it gets you through all of Munich – Tierpark Hellabrunn, Marienplatz, Münchner Freiheit, Schwabing (Schwabing vacation rentals | Schwabing travel guide), BMW-World, Olympiapark, Olymia shopping center. A taxi stop is just 400 m from the apartment. In the apartment’s immediate vicinity, you can find all necessary stores and shopping opportunities for daily needs: bakeries, butcher, pharmacy, drugstore and grocers, a Mövenpick wine cellar shop. Just at a distance of 500 m, there are also various kinds of restaurants (Italian, Greek, Chinese, American diner Dillinger’s, Bavarian. Walking, you can also get to one of Munich’s nicest bee gardens, the Münchner Haupt.

Other Service Offers:

We offer optional shuttle bus service for 1-2 people plus baggage, e.g. from the airport to the apartment and back, for a cash fee to our housekeeper (who’d also be your driver). The fee is less than local taxi fees, of course. Just drop us a line in time.

Excursions:

Some destinations close-by… Tierpark Hellabrunn zoological garden (on foot or one stop on the subway). – Isar bank, “Am Flaucher,” starting point for great bike tours along the Isar, or in summer for bathing in the Isar, or just to have some smoked fish and a beer in the beer garden. Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Garmisch-Partenkirchen vacation rentals | Garmisch-Partenkirchen travel guide) (50 minutes driving to the ski lift) in the classical ski area with the famous Kandahar piste. Boat tour on the Starnberg (Starnberg vacation rentals | Starnberg travel guide) Lake (25 km) with view of the Alps and followed by a nice, satisfying meal such as Haxe and house-brewed beer in Andechs (Andechs vacation rentals | Andechs travel guide) monastery. Raft tour on the Isar, with music and traditional snack, from Wolfratshausen. “Docks” close by the apartment in Thalkirchen. A drive to the Chiemsee (Chiemsee vacation rentals | Chiemsee travel guide) takes about 30 minutes, and one could visit the island Herrenchiemsee (Herrenchiemsee vacation rentals | Herrenchiemsee travel guide), for example. Hiking tour into the Bavarian Alps (direct autobahn connection A8).

We offer optional shuttle service for guests arriving on public transport (by train or plane) picking you up and taking you plus your luggage to the apartment – and of course, also back to the train station or airport. The apartment also contains toilet paper, kitchen tissue, soap, alarm clock, vacation and hiking guides, guidebook for Munich, our very own restaurant guide. So, no need for you to be concerned about these things…

Skiing

The Southerly orientation of the apartment lets you get to the beautiful area of classic skiing, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in just 50 minutes of driving. Garmisch-Partenkirchen with its famous Kandahar skiing slope is the place where the skiing world cup of February 2011 took place. It does not take long to get to other ski areas (Wilder Kaiser, Zillertal, either).
