Bernburg is located on the Bundesautobahn 14. To the west of the city is the A14.

Bernburg Overview

Bernburg is a town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, capital of the district of Salzlandkreis. It is situated on the river Saale, approx. 30 km downstream from Halle. The town is dominated by its huge Renaissance castle featuring a museum as well as a popular, recently updated bear pit in its moat.

Bernburg is located on the Saale north of Magdeburg and south of Halle. The city is situated on glacial advances since the last ice age and thus offers the best conditions for agriculture.
