Bad Endorf is a municipality in the district of Rosenheim (Rosenheim vacation rentals | Rosenheim travel guide) in Bavaria in Germany. The relatively small town is located about 15km outside of Rosenheim and is in close proximity to the Chiemsee (Chiemsee vacation rentals | Chiemsee travel guide) lake and its larger shore towns, Prien, Gstadt, and Seebruck (Seebruck vacation rentals | Seebruck travel guide).
The town is home to a large health spa and gym, as well as the German Federal Police winter sports training center which is famous for producing multiple medal winners at the Winter Olympics such as female speed skater Claudia Pechstein.

More about the History of Bad Endorf
Bad Endorf was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria after 1803 as an independent political community. Endorf was connected to the railway line from Munich (Munich vacation rentals | Munich travel guide) to Salzburg in 1860. On 15th October 1908 Endorf opened a branch after Obing (Chiemgau local train), which then closed in the 90s and reopened in summer 2006. In 1963 iodine-containing medicinal waters were discovered at 4848 m depth by accident during oil drilling. Then began the creation of the spa.
