Bad Schönborn Overview
Bad Schönborn is a municipality in northern Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe vacation rentals | Karlsruhe travel guide) district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is located on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route. Bad Schönborn is famous for being a health resort with mineral springs, and this spa offers the largest roofed swimming area in Germany to people with all kinds of diseases, e.g. rheumatism.
The community includes the former municipalities of Bad Schönborn, Bad Langenbrücken, and Bad Mingolsheim. The spa is located 105 to 185 meters on the eastern edge of the Upper Rhine Graben and at the gate Kraichgau Hills.

More about the History of Bad Schönborn
In 1971, two previous towns Bad Langenbrücken and Bad Mingolsheim were combined, and the town was named Bad Schönborn after Damian Hugo von Schönborn, archbishop of Speyer (Speyer vacation rentals | Speyer travel guide) (1719-1743), built Kislau castle in Bad Mingolsheim. Archbishop Franz Christoph von Hutten founded the sulphur spa in Bad Langenbrücken in 1766.
