A tour of the Franconian Open Air Museum District Middle Franconia in Bad Windsheim is like a trip through 700 Years Frankish everyday history. Over 100 original furnished houses to show how the rural population in Franken then has lived and worked. They are available in six modules grouped by region and the topics are arranged. Thus, we take a walk through the Museum grounds the feeling from village to village as it used to wander.
Farmhouses, barns, mills, breweries, pubs, Shepherds and craftsmen's houses invite you to explore in the past one. The fields between the buildings are with ox-carts and horse farms and the shepherd leads his flock through the meadows museum.
