More about the History of Berenbach

In the Middle Ages, Berenbach belonged to the Amt of Nürburg (Nürburg vacation rentals | Nürburg travel guide) in the Electorate of Cologne (Cologne vacation rentals | Cologne travel guide). Under Prussian administration, the village was in the Bürgermeisterei (“Mayoralty”) of Kelberg (Kelberg vacation rentals | Kelberg travel guide).

In the course of administrative restructuring in Rhineland-Palatinate, Berenbach was transferred in 1970 from the Mayen district to the Daun (Daun vacation rentals | Daun travel guide) district, now known as the Vulkaneifel district.
