"What would be the best option for a christmass dinner in Grainau for a large group of 15pers?" (posted 11/30/2014)

I will answer your request for a recommendation for a Christmass dinner for 15 Personen.- The Kurverwaltung Grainau (www.grainau.de) has under "Events" list "Christmas Eve" with all offers on the net provided. Unfortunately, they did not provide information about the performance of the participants such as price, atmosphere, live music etc. From my own experience I can recommend: Hotel Alpenhof (very nice atmosphere, live music, high price range Hammerbach Hotel, now SENTIDO Zugspitze, Tel 08821/9830. Have nice large rooms and good food Unfortunately, the choice is not very large at restaurants. as many have limited space to eat. Well you can in the nut Hotel and Restaurant ZUGSPITZE An advance reservation is required for each home. I hope you have hereby given some tips, but as you also know for sure tastes very different . On this occasion I would like to congratulate you on your very nice and informative website and to thank you for the intensive care of your (landlord) customers. Sincerely Dorte Diirmeyer

"In 1966, I worked at the Hotel Luitpold, which was on Zugspitzstrasse, diagonally across from a park. Can anyone tell me what happened to it? Thank you so much!!!!" (posted 02/11/2017)

The former "Hotel Luitpold" in Grainau were formerly housed a movie theater, a nightclub and a cafe and of course bed and breakfast. The Cinema mode has already been set a long time, as was the nightspot and cafe only been about 3 years. Finally, it was often leased. The hotel is now operated as a boarding house and is on the Internet at: Gästehaus Luitpold, GuestHouses / Pension, Private Rooms in Grainau. The current Besitzrin is a woman Zeller, to my knowledge, a born bad, a daughter of the former owner. Sincerely Dorte Diirmeyer
