Half Lech is located in the Oberammergau Alps. Surrounded by large conservation areas. Nearby is Fuessen, the royal palaces, the Forgensee. There is a very nice outdoor alpine swimming pool with special water quality. Charming landscape with natural monuments and a museum village depicting the historical, rural character of the area.

Of course there are nicer places in the so-called Kingly Corner than Halblech. However, this town has some very affordable accomodations. Sites of note: - the royal castles (Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and Linderhof) - the traditional town of Füssen with its castle and museums - nature (5 lakes, Tegelbergbahn, etc.) - unlimited hiking with charming chalets - possible foods. Insider tips available at any time, if interests and time frames are known.
