"My son will soon be arriving in Illsheim area. What is the best way to get to Illsheim? Is there a train that runs from Frankfurt or other major city with a major international airport?" (posted 09/14/2017)

From the Frankfurt airport an ICE train goes to Würzburg, then in Würzburg change to the regional train to Steinach (b. Rothenburg od Tauber ) and then change again - Steinach to Illesheim also with the Regionalbahn. With good train connection one is in about 2:45 - 3:00 hours in Illesheim. I think that is the best and fastest connection. Many greetings from Bad Windsheim Ilka Eckardt
