The city of Günzburg , which is about 4 km away from our guesthouse, dates back nearly 2000 years and has a population of about 20.000 inhabitants. You will enjoy the wonderful historic city and have a great time sitting on one of Germany’s most beautiful market places in an nearly mediterrean atmosphere surrounded by lots of restaurants and ice-cream shops. One attraction is the rococo-style church named Frauenkirche, which has been built by Dominikus Zimmermann from 1736 until 1741, you should not miss this historic building.

More about the History of Kötz
Großkötz at first belonged to the Austrian Markgravate Burgau in 1408 until the middle of the 18th century. Since the peace treaties of Brno and Bratislava, the town belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria in 1818, the municipalities of Großkötz and Kleinkötz were joined together. The town then incorporated Ebersbach in 1978.
