Riedlingen, located right on the Danube, has a beautiful Old Town. The steak house in Riedlingen has very good food. Lauter and Danube valleys are in the vicinity. The landscapes there are amazingly beautiful.

The beautiful old town on the Danube with the storks, numerous destinations such as “The Holy Mountain” or Zwiesel monastery. Riedlingen is also called the “Pearl of Upper Swabia.”

Riedlingen Overview

Riedlingen is a town in the district (Kreis) of Biberach, Baden-Württemberg, in the south-west of Germany. It is situated on the Danube. It has about 10,000 inhabitants.

Around Riedlingen there are seven more little villages, called Neufra, Daugendorf, Grüningen, Pflummern, Zwiefaltendorf, Zell (Zell vacation rentals | Zell travel guide) and Bechingen. They are also parts of Riedlingen but they have only between 150 and 900 inhabitants. Riedlingen is in the district of Biberach. The city of Biberach has about 30,000 inhabitants and is about 30 kilometers away from Riedlingen.

Riedlingen came to Kingdom of Württemberg and became the seat in the Oberamtes in 1806. The city itself survived World War II although the Danube Bridge was blown up at the end of the war.
