There are two places to go: 1. The Industrial Museum in Rüsselsheim, showing you the history of Opel and classic cars. The museum is open Tuesday https://goo.gl/maps/lyXx8 - Sunday 10:00 to 17:00. Entrance fee is EUR 3:50. 2. The tour through the actual factory where you can see the classic car workshop, and go along the actual production line and see how the Opel cars a built today. The "Opel-Museum" in Rüsselsheim in the form, as I have met a few years before, there is no longer appear. There are, however, in conjunction with a factory tour, a station in the "classic car workshop" in which also several vintage cars which explained the history are shown. You have to time for such a plant tour login, they are always fully booked. The next tour with even some free courses is in accordance with information provided by telephone only on 14 October possible (for 3 - 4 people, perhaps for one or two people a little earlier still space). +49 6142 765601 If you are interested Mrs Weber vacationers in other old-timers: Here is the link for registration: http://www.opel.de/opel-erleben/ueber-opel/company/werkstour.html If you want to record telephone contact is, then it is worth a visit in the "Classic City" in Frankfurt / Main. It is an old Maschinenfabrik, which today serves on the publicly accessible areas as the Automobile Museum. Separate rooms serve as offices and meeting rooms of various smaller companies. More about the History of Rüsselsheim

Rüsselsheim emerged from a settlement of the Count of Katzenelnbogen. The name of the town evolved over the course of time evolving from Rucile(n)sheim to its current form. In the year 1435 the high noble Count John IV of Katzenelnbogen was first to cultivate Riesling in Rüsselsheim. His administrator bought new vines for 22 Schilling documented in the annual reports. in the following years Riesling showed up down the river Rhine and up the River Mosel. Rüsselsheim’s comeback in the history of wine took place in 18th. and 19th. century, when famous wine-growing estates in the Rheingau recultivated their vineyards with vines of the Rüsselsheim and Flörsheim Area (Allendorf, Rheingauer Weinbauverband EV 1980).

Rüsselsheim is the largest town in the Groß-Gerau district in the Rhein-Main region of Germany. It is one of seven special status towns in Hesse and is located on the Main, only a few kilometres from its mouth in Mainz. The suburbs of Bauschheim and Königstädten are included in Rüsselsheim. Rüsselsheim has attained international recognition through the presence of the car manufacturer Opel.
