More about the History of Samerberg

The term Samerberg goes back to an important branch of industry in this region: Samer carried on Samrossen (Pack-horses), salt, grain and wine and other goods. The area of the mountain was part of the bursary Samer Munich (Munich vacation rentals | Munich travel guide) and Rosenheim (Rosenheim vacation rentals | Rosenheim travel guide) district court of the Electorate of Bavaria, and was divided into the main teams Grainbach, Törwang, Steinkirchen and Roßholzen. In 1969 88% of voters chose in a referendum for a community-based Samerberg Törwang.
