Since 1995, the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences has with the three departments "Economics", "Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Technical Journalism" and "computer science" based in the city. Moreover, Sankt Augustin has the following schools: Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium Rhein-Sieg-Gymnasium Gesamtschule town Sankt Augustin Realschule Niederpleis Realschule Menden secondary school Niederpleis Schools Menden Heinrich Hanselmann School (special school for the Priority Area mental development) Gutenbergschule (special school for priority Area learning) Astrid Lindgren school (school for sick Children) Rheinische Förderschule, funding priority physical and motor development, Sankt Augustin Waldorf school Sankt Augustin and eight primary schools: Catholic primary school Buisdorf Protestant primary school Hangelar Catholic primary school Hangelar Catholic primary school Meindorf Gemeinschaftsgrundschule Menden (Max & Moritz school) Catholic primary school Sankt Augustin Mülldorf GGS Niederpleis, Am Pleiser forest Gemeinschaftsgrundschule Sankt Augustin-place (Hans-Chrsitian Andersen school) By 2014, there was the GGS "Free Buschstraße" in Niederpleis. Sankt Augustin is a normal German town. All schools are present. The S-Bahn goes directly to Bonn in center. The Siegauen invite for long walks. A visit to the neighboring town of Siegburg, and the local Abbey is also recommended.
