Unconventional flower displays in the former indoor swimming pool will offer suggestions for home and garden decorations, leaving you with unforgettable impressions of flowers in all shapes and colors.
Castle Ippenburg and its gardens will present Gardens for tomorrow
Already since the past 12 years it annually hosts the Europe wide well-known festival Gartenlust und Landvergnügen
, best translated with garden-delight and country-enjoyment. During the State Garden Show in 2010 it will unfold a kaleidoscope of special interest gardens. With the backdrop of the beautiful castle, classic and artistic displays will be shown with the focus on shrubs and summer flowers. On your way to the Ippenburg you will pass the Rose-Island. It is a meadow clearing, surrounded by old trees and water, giving you the impression of a foyer in a theater, with a rose bushes covered rondel at its center. The gardens of Castle Ippenburg are also the right place to rediscover the Kitchen Garden. A wide variety of fruit and vegetables are grown here in combination with roses and shrubs. The garden is surrounded by the old wall made of natural stones and also protects long forgotten or widely unknown plants. The small greenhouse is used as a garden kitchen throughout the Bad Essen Garden Show 2010.
