Greifenstein is a community in the Lahn-Dill-Kreis in Hesse, Germany. Its administrative seat is Beilstein (Beilstein vacation rentals | Beilstein travel guide). Greifenstein (Greifenstein vacation rentals | Greifenstein travel guide) covers 67.43 km on the eastern slope of the Westerwald range. Its name comes from the castle of the same name in the constituent community of the same name, where the German Bell Museum (Deutsches Glockenmuseum) can be found, with about 50 bells showing the development of bell pouring. Visitors can actually listen to the sounds of those bells.

In addition, there are lots of other historic things to discover here. For example, an old medieval jail with torture tools, catacombs, and an old double church. You can actually use the stairs to go up the big towers, from where you can get a magnificent view of the surrounding area. Once you're done with your visit enjoy a traditional German knight dinner in the castle restaurant (open daily between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.)
