Skiing in Lenggries
Categories: Family and Kids, Sports
Lenggries may not been known for its great skiing areas on the international skiing market, but has some long and challenging terrains and offers breath taking views. Located in the Karwendel mountains it offers many huts and restaurants along the ski slopes all over the mountain.
The skiing area in Lenggries (Lenggries vacation rentals | Lenggries travel guide) is located just outside of the town and accessible either from Lenggries or Wegscheid. Both have regular skiing shuttles/buses that take you to either destination and lifts as well as huge parking areas at the bottom of the lifts.
Brauneck has several lifts for beginning skiers that are located close to the parking lots and perfect for practicing before getting up the mountain with the Brauneck cable car. On the top of Brauneck mountain is a restaurant. From there, you can head in any direction. Make sure to check the difficulty levels of the routes before you take off. Below is a map with detailed informations on runs and additional restaurants all over the mountains. Some black runs have bumps.
For more detailed information please check the link below. It has a great description of the areas.
