Licher Brauerei - the largest private beer brewery in Germany
[ source: Wikipedia]

Did you ever want to tour a famous German brewery to see how German beer gets produced, and participate at a beer tasting of the world class Licher Pilsner beer?

The Licher Privatbrauerei Ihring-Melchior GmbH is a famous brewery in Lich, Germany. With 250 employees, the brewery is currently the largest private brewery in Hesse. Licher Beer has been market leader since 1988 in Hesse and is known to be one of the top 20 beers in the German beer market.

They offer private tours where you can watch a movie first about the company, its history, and their products. But who wants just a movie? As a highlight you get to tour the brewery and taste their famous beer, fresh from the tap.

We recommend after the tour to stroll to Lich's charming downtown. There are lots of good restaurants and small shops that offer you a perfect way of ending the day.
