Top Ten Travel Destinations in Germany

You want to travel to Germany? You do not know yet where you want? We have compiled our top ten most beautiful and famous regions in Germany. From the idyllic Baltic Sea in the north, across the forested low mountains and river valleys known to the romantic palaces and castles in the south - Germany is surprisingly different.

1. The North Sea, including the East Frisian islands (Sylt, Föhr) and the North Frisian Islands
2. The Baltic Sea, including Fehmarn (Fehmarn vacation rentals | Fehmarn travel guide) and Rügen
3. The Frankenland (from Lower via Middle – Würzburg (Würzburg vacation rentals | Würzburg travel guide) – to Upper Franconia – Bamberg). Franconia has many magnificent, historical cities (such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber) and cultural highlights (such as Bayreuth) to offer.
4. The Black Forest from Pforzheim (Pforzheim vacation rentals | Pforzheim travel guide) to Freiburg (beautiful small towns with perfect tourist infrastructure and fantastic landscapes).
5. The Weser and the Weserbergland, a picture-perfect river landscape, very accessible to tourists, with very flat countryside and quaint old towns of half-timbered houses (Hameln, Höxter). From Hannoversch-Münd to Cuxhaven (Cuxhaven vacation rentals | Cuxhaven travel guide).
6. Upper Bavaria and the Allgäu, which includes Munich (Munich vacation rentals | Munich travel guide) and the exceedingly popular Neuschwanstein castle, of course.
7. The Pfalz (Palatinate) – Pfälzerwald forest and Kurpfalz. This region should have particular appeal for tourists from Texas or Pennsylvania, whose forebears may have had their home here (and on towards the Westrich/Hunsrück)

Here, too, one finds a metropolis with a great landscape surrounding it, plus the mouth of the Elbe river.
