The Open-Air Museum Hessenpark in Neu-Ansprach is a reflection of rural Hesse's of the past.

Over 100 buildings - a complete range of farmsteads to day laborer houses - have been reconstructed on 160 acres. As you walk through the Hessenpark you are guided through 400 years of Hessian history.

The Neu-Asprach Museum is organized into five groups of buildings representing the regions they have been relocated from. These groups of buildings are named are the rivers, characterizing that particular landscape.

Hessepark can be conveniently reached by car or public transportation. There is a large parking area at the Museum.

Admission

  • Adult: 5,00 €
  • Groups (more than 20 people):4,50 €
  • Family Card (Parents or single parent with child/children): 11,00 €
  • Children (from 6 years upwards), pupils, students and disabled persons (identification): 2,70 €

There are reduced rates available during winter time

  • January/February: daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., last admission at 4 p.m.
  • March - end of October: daily 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., last admission at 5 p.m.
