Although it cannot cover everything this metropolis has to offer, a brief overview of Berlin is a good way to get you started in the city. Having its population of above four million residents, Berlin (Berlin vacation rentals | Berlin travel guide) is the biggest city in Germany and also its capital, which is a prime destination for lots of tourists and business people. Known for its myriad of points of interest and museums, great shopping and exciting entertainment, Berlin is provoking the attention of the holiday-makers.

Holiday rentals in Berlin are best enjoyed in the late springtime and the extended summer weeks, when the temperatures are round 23-25 degrees Celsius and the factors are very nice for sightseeing, walking and shopping. The locals are very pleasant and tolerant and are open to the tourists

In Berlin are placed 3 primary universities and therefore it is definitely a crucial educational centre. The universities are the Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin, the Technische Universitat Berlin and Freie Universitat Berlin. The German capital provides more than four mil citizens and is divided into twelve key districts, but all the ancient attractions are to be discovered in the downtown location. The other sites to be stopped at involve the churches Nikolaikirche – being the most well-known of its kind in the city and the Berliner Donn – remaining the largest chapel. Additional places to mention are the extraordinary number of galleries which includes the Deutsches Historisches Museum, the Museumsinsel, the Gemaeldegalerie and also the Jewish Museum.

No brief overview of Berlin should ignore the city's rich cultural attractions. The visitor though must bear in mind that most of these galleries and museums are closed on Mondays. Most of the travelers however are best impressed by the Victory Column, the Reichstag, the enchanting Brandenburg Gate, the TV Tower placed at the Alexanderplatz where one could appreciate a cupful of coffee in the spinning café at the top of the tower system. The kids find entertainment at the 2 Berlin zoo theme parks, the aquarium and the green park the World’s Garden.

Each year in Berlin are being organized numerous celebrations, which are usually oriented in direction of the young people and the art lovers. The cultural events which are most attended include the Berlinale also known as the Berlin Film Festival, the celebration Fere de a Musique and the museum celebration the Lange Nacht der Musee. Additional activities which induce the interest are the Love Parade, the Christopher Street Day and the Karneval. Hopefully, this brief overview of Berlin will help you determine what will make your trip the most enjoyable and memorable for you.
