Looking for some winter vacation ideas in Germany? Skiing and sledding are great outdoor sports in Germany and we have so many apartments that we can offer you in many great locations in southern Germany. Oberstdorf (Oberstdorf vacation rentals | Oberstdorf travel guide) is very dear to me and my family. We have spent many summers there and the village offers lots of fun things to do in any season. There is a huge variety of German and international restaurants in Oberstdorf, great shopping, an ice rink, amazing hills to go sledding and skiing, indoor pools to relax after a busy day outside as well as great night life for the famous après ski. It’s a family friendly village and there is something for everyone to do here.

We have many vacation apartments in Oberstdorf due to its high popularity and demand. We are working with a great local landlady, Mrs. Blattner, here and she and her team are the most welcoming ladies you could possibly find!

Here are two of our favorite apartments that we have tried out personally:

1) Oberstdorf Vacation Apartment #3

This apartment #3 is a bit off from all the hustle and bustle but only by a few minutes. 5-10 mins by foot and you will be at the park, the church and center of town. It’s very quiet here and the apartment has lovely Bavarian style furniture and is very well taken care of. There is great parking in the parking garage and easy and fast access to ski and sledding areas. We recommend this apartment for a couple.

2) Oberstdorf Vacation Apartment #1442

We also can warmly recommend this apartment #1442. It’s in the center of town, across from the church (bell rings every hour but not after 10 pm). I love it because you are very central to everything, the people-watching from the balcony is great, and it has an excellent interior decor with 3 nice bedrooms. Parking garage included as well. Supermarket right across the street and a great pizzeria downstairs, as well as an awesome tea store. Easy walk to everything, including ski lift and the ice rink, pool and restaurants, and more.

Apartments like these are all over Oberstdorf and we have about 180 that we can offer you on our site. Please note that during high season there is a minimum stay for most of about 3-7 days.
