Samba Festival in Coburg: Enjoy hot rhythms and sexy dancers

Categories: Entertainment

You don’t have to fly to Rio de Janeiro to experience a whole city filled with music and beautiful men and women dancing through the streets.

Germany might not first come to mind when thinking of hot rhythms, sexy dancers and a sensual and joyful atmosphere but the Franconian town Coburg (Coburg vacation rentals | Coburg travel guide) puts on the Sambaco, a Samba festival that attracts more than two hundred thousand visitors every year. Next summer the festival will be celebrated for the 19th time and takes place on the second weekend in July.

The Samba Festival Coburg wows its visitors every year with a top—class and varied program. There are several professional bands from Brazil, which play on the many stages throughout the city as well as hundreds of amateur musicians from all over the world. The highlight of the Samba Festival Coburgusually is the parade throughout the city center on Sunday afternoon but there are also countless intoxicating performances of professional Samba dancers, beauty and music competitions and so much more to enjoy. For visitors who have the ambition to do more than just tap their feet to the music, there are dance workshops for beginners and advanced sambistas held in the afternoons.

The yearly Samba Festival in Coburg is a giant spectacle. Hot rhythms, driving beats and exotic dancers turn the town into a boiling witches’ caldron, where no feet can stand still. If you like to sing, dance and have a good time, come and join the party!
