Bettina provides more Details about Germany Trip Plans for your Germany Travel
What is a Live Like a German Trip Plan?
We feature two types of vacation packages:
- Comprehensive Germany Vacation Packages (fully organized, everything included, staying mostly in hotels)
- Trip Plans (self organized, staying mostly in vacation apartments)
Here is how these differ in more detail:
1.) Comprehensive Germany Vacation Packages
Those are vacation packages where we work with a trusted local tour organizer, and those typically include transportation to the places, admission cost (if applicable), a local tour guide (English speaking), and lodging (primarily in hotels). These offer convenience, because everything is completely organized for you - and make your Germany travel arrangements very convenient.
The disadvantage compared to the Live Like a German - Germany trip plan is that these don't allow that much flexibility. Hotels are pre-booked, transportation is arranged, and tour guides etc. scheduled. So everything typically has to stay on schedule.
2.) Live Like a German - Trip Plans
Each Live Like a German trip plan comes with a complete itinerary for each day, and spans typically over 7-10 days. For each activity listed we point you to a comprehensive travel guide that provides you with all the details you need to know (e.g., estimate for admission cost, opening times, map, driving directions, insider tips, and reviews.) In addition, for each
Think about a Live Like a German trip plan as a detailed travel itinerary, which lists all related activities for each day, and provides you with detailed information on admission cost, driving directions, special travel tips and advise, mostly obtained from local residents to make them truly unique and useful. We compiled these Germany trip plans around popular themes, to make it easy for you to experience a lot of German culture and history within a short amount of time, while maintaining a reasonable cost structure. You can print the travel guides and itinerary before your trip, and therefore keep it easily accessible during your Germany vacation.
One big advantage is that the travel itinerary in many cases is very flexible. For example, if you don't want to visit a particular castle that day, just exchange it with another activity. If reservations are needed we provide you with instructions and phone numbers, or may also be able to help you with making them. We basically provide you with a collection of things you can do, and you pick the ones that are you most interested and decide when to do them.
I decided to go with a Germany trip plan - how do I book it?
We conveniently provide you with links to vacation rental destinations based on the destinations in the Germany trip plan. Just follow those links, browse the selection of Germany vacation apartments or holiday apartments, and pick one that you like. For this one you can use our Check Availability form, fill in your travel dates, and we will get back to you with a free quote.
So with a trip plan you basically pay only for the accommodation, for which you can find plenty of choices on our web site using our Germany travel search. Just do a quick search (see searchbox on top of the page), select one of the recommended Live Like a German vacation apartments and make a reservation. The price of the vacation package then depends on the number of persons traveling and includes only the lodging part. Admission, costs for food, transportation, and other travel related expenses are not included. However, we provide you with a rough estimate based on 2 persons so that you can get a sense of the overall cost and what to expect to pay. In addition, we provide you with a telephone hotline in case of questions that may arise before, during, or after your Germany trip - we're always just a phone call away!
