Check out the museum at the former McNair Kasserne next to the 4 Juli Platz. It's full of American military and German History.

I liked the Gustav-Adolf-wooden church in Hahnenklee, quite close to Goslar very much. It´s unique!

Rüdiger

Personally I prefer the route up the rhine. You start in cologne (with Koelsch) and end up in the Rhinegau (with great wine) in between you see a lot of interesting castles: http://www.mediaspec.com/castles/rhein/index.html

Goslar

Goslar is great! Beautiful landscape, too. And who outside of Europe knows that world history happened there 700 years before Columbus even set foot in America?
