Arrival at Frankfurt airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Frankfurt is the financial and commercial heart of Germany, with a fascinating contrast between the modern and historic. Accommodation at the Hotel Mövenpick Frankfurt City****.


Day 2: Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Freiburg

In the morning we travel from Frankfurt to Heidelberg. Visit the famous castle ascending with the cable car and enjoy a sightseeing tour of its historic city center. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. We continue to the famous Black Forest region. This night we will have an authentic experience: Enjoy a typical Black Forest dinner and overnight in a romantically located hotel. If you like have a little walk to the beautiful Ravenna Gorge or see the region’s oldest chapel, both are next to the hotel. Accommodation at the Best Western Hotel Hofgut Sternen***+.


Day 3: Freiburg - Lake Titi - Lindau - Füssen

After breakfast we enjoy a short presentation on the cuckoo clock production. We continue to a small traditional Black Forest farm where we will have a cheese tasting and you will see the true life of the Black Forest. After we will travel to Lake Titisee, nestled in the legendary Black Forest. We continue the tour to the small island of Lindau in Lake Constance, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps. Depending on weather conditions we will take the Alpine road from Lindau to Oberstaufen and Immenstadt to our final destination Füssen, the southernmost point on our tour of Romantic Germany. Day 4: Neuschwanstein - Wieskirche - Oberammergau - Ettal Abbey - Garmisch-Partenkirchen

We begin the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious “Mad King“. In the midday we travel to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Along the way we visit the Wieskirche Church before continuing the tour to visit Linderhof Castle. This is one of the 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where the king actually lived for a significant amount of time. After a brief stop at the Ettal Benedictine Abbey. Today‘s final destination is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany’s winter sports capital and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This mountainous region also features Germany’s highest peak, Zugspitze (2.962 m). Accommodation at the Rheinischer Hof****.


Day 5: Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck - Linderhof - Munich

In the morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city of Innsbruck, Austria, located in the Inn valley, in the heart of the Alps. An optional excursion (instead of Innsbruck, not included) is to ascend to the top of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak. In the afternoon we travel to Munich and visit Linderhof castle. This is one of the 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where he lived for a significant amount of time. Accommodation at the Hotel Holiday Inn Munich City Centre****.

After breakfast you visit the city‘s main attractions, concluding the tour at the Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower. The capital of Bavaria, Munich is famous for its Oktoberfest, which is actually celebrated in September. Free time. In the evening you enjoy a traditional Bavarian dinner with folk music. In the morning you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zurich and its main monuments. Take in the fabulous views of the Alps and Lake Zurich from the Höhenstrasse. We will stop briefly in Rapperswil, the quaint City of Roses. On our way back to Zurich you enjoy a lovely cruise on Lake Zurich (no guide). Arrival at Zürich-Bürkliplatz. Day 9: Zurich - Luzern - Mount Titlis - Interlaken

Departure for Luzern. Short sightseeing tour and free time to explore on your own. At noon we continue to Engelberg. Take the rotating Rotair cable car to the top of Mount Titlis and its spectacular glacier. From an elevation of 3.020 m, visitors enjoy spectacular views of the Central Alps. In the afternoon we continue to Brienz and visit the local wood carvers. Our next destination is Interlaken at the foot of Mount Jungfrau. Accommodation at the Hotel Interlaken****.


Day 10: Interlaken - Bern - Gruyeres - Geneva

From Interlaken we drive along Lake Thun to Bern, located on the Aare River, overlooking the Alps. After a sightseeing tour of the city, we continue to Gruyeres, a picturesque village with its impressive medieval castle. Accommodation at the Hotel Ramada Encore***+.


Day 11: Geneva - Montreux - Zermatt

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Geneva and visit the beautiful parks along the lake, the cathedral and the European headquarters of the UN. Then you travel to Lausanne and Montreux, passing the magnificent Chillon castle. Free time to explore Montreux. In the afternoon you travel up the Rodano river valley as far as Täsch. From here you continue by narrow gauge train to Zermatt, nestled at the foot of mighty Mount Matterhorn. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Alex****.


Day 12: Zermatt - Nufenen Pass - Lugano

In the morning you are free to explore at your leisure or undertake an optional excursion to the top of Mount Gornegrat (not included). In the afternoon you return to Täsch where you board the bus for a spectacular drive over the high Nufenen mountain pass to Lugano. Accommodation at the Grand Hotel Eden***.

In the morning we travel to Italy to visit magnificent Lake Como. Travel along the shore of the lake via Menaggio to Chiavenna in the Beggaglia valley. In Castasegna we cross back into Switzerland and complete today‘s tour in the ski resort of St. Moritz. Dinner and accommodation at the Hotel Schweizerhof****.


Day 14: St. Moritz - Vaduz - Zurich

In the morning we travel via Fluela and Davos to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein. Free time to explore this charming city. In the afternoon we continue to Zurich via the Toggenburg region, famous for its picturesque houses. Arrival at Zurich central station or the Swiss-ôtel around 5 p.m. End of tour program.
