An unforgettable long weekend in Munich could be the perfect present for Valentine's Day! An enchanting city, presenting only the best there is, awaits you and your truelove. Dine in style and party along at the fashionable 8seasons and the Old Town Hall, right in the heart of Munich.

Since about the 4th Century, the Christians celebrate Valentine's Day. The 14th February was named after Valentine, bishop of Terni. Since the following story is a romantic one, here in some detail: In the 3rd Century, the Roman emperor Claudius Goticus declared a ban on his Christian soldiers to get married, since he believed they wouldn't fight hard enough for the course, once given their vows to a woman. In fact he believed that homosexual partnerships would make his soldiers more willing to fight for their beloved ones. Bishop Valentine didn't follow those orders and secretly wedded willing couples and for that, he had to pay with his life. According to a legend he died a martyr's death on the 14th February, 268. A date never to be forgotten!

Munich is known in Germany as the city with the village feel. It has all the sophistication of a big-city but is on a smaller and much friendlier scale; therefore it is a delight to walk around. Famous squares in Munich include the Marienplatz. Named after the column of the Virgin Mary at its center, it is one of the most famous parts of Munich, also considered to be the center of Munich. The majestic town hall dominates the Marienplatz and makes it also an excellent place to start your explorations. Odeonsplatz is near the expensive shops, the Residenz and the Theatiner Kirche. The famous Englischer Garten can be accessed from here.

The historical restaurant Königlicher Hirschgarten is located in Neuhausen / Nympenburg in Munich, on the outskirts of the Hirschgarten recreational park. The restaurant can accommodate approximately 500 persons in 6 different dining rooms. All of them are beautifully decorated and cozily furnished with great attention to detail. Even more so on the night before the actual Valentine's Day. Get in the right mood and enjoy a special Candle Light Dinner in the romantic surroundings.

At 10 p.m. the party gets started with a Club-Night at the 8seasons. Any event with DJ BEN SANTO guarantees great fun, dancing and entertainment with his special blending of percussion, sounds and DJing. Of course, for the special occasion of Valentine's Day - the day of lovers - a lovely warm ambience awaits you! The 8seasons opened its doors in July 2009 in the Sonnenstrasse 26, right in the heart of Munich's old town, in a heritage listed building. A large outdoor terrace in front of the historic facade, a beautiful lobby and a club with 210 square meters and more than 6 m ceiling height, add something special to Munich's club scene with an international flair.
