Ramstein Travel Tip:
City Museum
Exhibit at the Ramstein Museum
Located in the center of Ramstein, the building which houses the Museum im Westrich
is a treasure in itself. In addition to its permanent collection the museum hosts four to six special exhibits every year. The spectrum covers historic, folklore and artistic subjects supplemented by regular concerts and lectures. The museum has thus become Ramstein-Miesenbach's showpiece. Many people, especially children, enjoy the original old country store (Tante Emma Laden) which, for over 30 years, was located just 400 meters away from the museum and was an important part of everyday life in Ramstein. There are exhibits on the local forest, the swamp areas, the significance of mining to the local area, and the development of Ramstein Air Base.
Hours: Open Tuesday - Sunday 2pm - 6pm.
