Hattenheim Travel Tip:
Reichartshausen Castle
Castle Reichartshausen, north wing
Since 1152 Reichartshausen has been storage and distribution center of nearby Eberbach Abbey. The first building was destroyed in the Thirty Years’ War and the Castle seen today was built in 1740. Eberbach Abbey was closed down in 1803 and since then the castle was used for different purposes. Today, the castle is home of the European Business School and the campus has an interesting addition in the teahouse, which was a present from the government of Burma, and an artificial castle rune.
