The Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral is an artistic and cultural monument of international importance. The late Romanesque and Gothic Cathedral goes back to the 13th century. The most impressive details are the west-rood-screen with the Passion relief and the features life-sized figures depicting the twelve founders of the Cathedral (including two famous couples, Ekkehard and Uta, and Herrman and Reglindis). Its valuable interior includes some glass windows from the Middle Ages, the east rood-screen and a late Romanesque crypt.

Hours: March-October Mon-Sat.9:am - 6pm. November-February Mon.-Sat. 10am - 4pm. On Church holidays and Sundays open from 12:00 pm onwards.

Admission: Adults 4 €, Concessions 2-3 €.
