St. Wenceslas Church
The Gothic St. Wenceslas Church, which displays paintings by Lucas Cranach the Elder (including Suffer the Little Children to Come unto Me
and The Adoration of the Three Magi
) and the Hildebrandt organ that Johann Sebastian Bach played on. The It stands to the south of Naumburg market square and is the landmark of the civil part of town. It was rebuilt after 1426 and the interior was redone in Baroque style in 1724. The West portal was built around 1510/1520. If you climb the steeple of the church you will have a great view of Naumburg and the surroundings.
Hours: April: Mon-Sat 1pm - 3pm. May- Oct Mon - Sat 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 5pm.
