Predigtstuhl Mountain Cable Car, Bad Reichenhall
Bad Reichenhall is surrounded by impressive mountains; one of them is the Predigtstuhl. Visitors can reach the top of the mountain (1,150m) with the help of the Predigtsthulbahn cable car. It is the oldest twin-cable car in the world! The gondola offers space for 25 people and it takes 8.5 minutes to get to the top.
At the top, hiking trails guide tourists to several viewpoints with a fantastic view at Bad Reichenhall and the Alps. Have a bird´s eye view of Bad Reichenhall, Salzburg and the mountain panorama from Dachstein to the Wilder Kaiser via the Watzmann. The Predigtstuhl offers groomed hiking trails and climbing routes. In winter, you can get active on a cleared circular hiking trail.
Hours: In summer the cable car is open daily from 9am - 5pm; check the website for winter hours.
Prices range from 10 € for children ages 6-16 to 18 € adults, depending on one-way or round trip purchase.
