Anise Cookies

Aniseed cookies - classical cookies to enjoy under the Christmas tree.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons anise (ground)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Procedure:

In a bowl, beat the eggs with 1 tablespoon water, salt and sugar for at least 10 minutes until light and fluffy, using a mixer at the highest setting. Add the flour, baking powder and anise seeds and gently fold into the batter. Cover with foil and put in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Put baking paper on a baking sheet.

Form small balls out of the dough, flatten them a little and set them on the baking sheet. Allow to dry overnight !

The next day, preheat the oven to 150 degrees C. Put the aniseed cookies in the middle of the oven and let them bake (or rather, get dried) for about 20 minutes.

Place cookies on a cake rack and let cool.
