Here is Alexander's Feedback:
A wonderful place to stay while visiting Garmisch-partenkirchen and the surrounding area
It was a real pleasure staying for over a week at Schnakenhausl located in one of the finest areas of Partenkirchen. The accommodations we're very clean and overall were excellent. Having lived in Germany before I found it particularly refreshing not staying in one of the many good Gasthauses or hotels available in the area. We felt as though we were in our own home or apartment. We could cook if we wanted too, have a light dinner on our balcony from food items we purchased at a fine Italian "deli" on Ludwigstrasse, or just dine at one of the many places in the area. It was the freedom and relaxing comfort we enjoyed most. And, don't worry if you should forget your alarm clock, a herd of cows with bells jingling will surely wake you at 6:00 in the morning and will let you know when to get ready for dinner on their return trek at precisely 5:20 pm. Don't be concerned though, it's truly a sight to see and it only lasts about 10 minutes going and coming daily.
What I liked best: Facility and location
What I liked least: Lack of wi-fi. However, wi-fi capability at Shatten Hotel & Bahnof
